13. Founder Council Braised and Creamy Vidalia Onions

The members of the Town Council wouldn’t protect Mystic Falls on empty stomachs, and this is why they feast on this filling and delicious meal.

Prep Time: 10 Minutes

Cooking Time: 30 Minutes

Servings: 6 Servings

Ingredients

4 tablespoons chicken broth

1 tablespoon mace (ground)

1 tablespoon salt

1 cup whipping cream (heavy)

1 tablespoon white pepper

3 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoon butter

5 Medium-sized sweet onions (sliced)

Directions

Put butter in a pan. Add honey. Blend over medium heat.

Add seasonings, broth, and onions.

Allow simmering for 15 minutes.

Add the cream. Cook for 5 minutes.

Serve with chicken.
